Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Evidence for Action (E4A): Supporting a culturally responsive intervention disrupted by federal funding in centering the needs of African and Caribbean Black immigrant youths.
This award supports our commitment to advancing research that strengthens families and addresses urgent public health challenges. Our funded project will focus on generating new evidence to support strategies for youth violence prevention.
Through this initiative, the ReCAP Lab will partner with local organizations to better understand how systems and services can shape the experiences of young people and their families. By engaging partners at every stage, our team aims to co-develop solutions that are practical, sustainable, and responsive to community priorities. This work reflects our mission to bridge research and practice in ways that inform effective prevention efforts.
The Evidence for Action program provides critical support for projects that use rigorous research to drive meaningful change. With this grant, the ReCAP Lab will continue building a foundation of knowledge that informs policy, enhances practice, and prepares the next generation of public health scholars. We look forward to sharing updates and findings as this project progresses.
